TVI Records & Filmworks is the result of a vision forged by renowned R&B, Pop, and Disco Music Producer Tony Valor Sr. in the early 1970’s / 80’s.

Having established a name for himself working with such artists as      Kool & The Gang, Barry White, Chi-lites, and contributing to the success of Brunswick Records transitioning from R&B to Disco/Dance, Tony Sr. was a forerunner in the Disco boom of the mid 70’s.

Valor made the decision to leave Brunswick Records and moved to CBS and then form his own recording company. A decision that resulted in one of his most successful albums , “Love Has Come My Way,” by the “Tony Valor Sounds Orchestra”,  which continued to spin off singles for the next five years.  He wrote and produced the album “You’re Too Late” by Fantasy which topped the dance chart at number one for eight straight weeks, which at the time was unheard of. The most a song would last was one week at number one. He also tied with Michael Jackson for producer of the year during Billboard Awards .in 1981.

It is impossible to track the history of Dance/Disco music without acknowledging the contribution and innovation of Tony Valor Sr.

Now, 30+ years later, TVI Records and Filmworks continues to be a trending force in the music industry.  With its own music and video recording studios, an impressive list of long standing and upcoming artists, and under the tutelage of Tony Valor Sr.,  the vision continues to thrive as it is being carried into the future by the next generation.
